MAP Motorist Assistance Plan EFG's MAP^® (Motorist Assistance Plan) Vehicle Service Contract programs offer dealerships increased income and your customers' performance security. You can increase your bottom line at the time of sale, drive traffic to your service department, and keep your customers happy, which ultimately drives repeat business and higher referrals.

MAP – Multiple coverage options for maximum performance.
MAP provides two (2) coverage options for new and used cars, and also provides three (3) coverage options for used cars based on odometer miles and age of the vehicle at time of sale. All coverage options for both types of vehicles have been condensed into one contract -- simply select the coverage option that best suits the customer's needs. MAP comes with a clear and easy-to-understand contract describing the coverage options purchased and clearly defines the list of "Covered Parts."

New Car Coverage Options

Our current MAP program provides Premium and Choice coverage for vehicles 2004 and newer that have less than 50,000 odometer miles at time of sale. The vehicle does not have to be under a manufacturer's warranty to qualify for New Car Coverage.

Premium Coverage - MAP's most comprehensive VSC program for vehicles qualifying for new coverage, covers repairs on all assemblies and parts on the vehicle with certain exclusions, such as maintenance services, bright metal, trim, paint and sheet metal and other wear and tear items.

Choice Coverage - This is our most comprehensive VSC program for both new and used vehicles. It includes all components covered by the Basic and Select used car plans and additional component coverage for air conditioning, suspension, steering, cooling system, brake and electrical systems.

A Limited Pre-Paid Maintenance program is also available.

Used Car Coverage Options

Used Car coverage is available in (3) coverage options: Choice, Select and Basic. Used car coverage is available for 1997 and newer vehicles with fewer than 90,000 miles at point of sale. All contracts include roadside assistance, rental reimbursement and trip interruption for the full term of the contract.

Choice Coverage - This is our most comprehensive program for new and used vehicles. It includes additional component coverage for air conditioning, suspension, steering, cooling system, brake and electrical systems.

Select Coverage – This coverage level not only includes, but enhances the Basic coverage of the power train components. It also extends coverage to include many major components of the A/C, heating, suspension, steering, cooling, fuel, brake, and electrical systems.

Basic Coverage – Extends protection to most core mechanical drive train components within the engine, transmission/transaxle, transfer case, and drive axles.

High Mileage Options:

MAP Classic Used - This contract is designed to provide comprehensive coverage for vehicles that do not qualify for the standard MAP Used Car Program. It is available with four (4) coverage options: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

Bronze Coverage – This is an extensive power train level of coverage available to all qualifying pre-owned vehicles regardless of current mileage. It includes major components of the engine, transmission, transfer case, and drive axles, and seals & gaskets for all covered.

Silver Coverage – A value-packed coverage level with basic air conditioning, heating, suspension, Steering, Cooling, Fuel System, Brake, and Electrical components added to the Bronze Coverage listed above.

Gold Coverage –This package covers more of the “high-tech” systems now in many vehicles, including fuel injection, anti-lock brake (ABS), and electrical components.

Platinum Coverage – The best coverage available for qualifying high-mileage, pre-owned vehicles. This coverage extends to the cruise control, electrical, and suspension systems of the vehicle.

Customized Programs

Limited Warranty Power Train Coverage – Available to dealers as an alternative to multiple or higher-priced manufacturers' certified programs. This warranty offers 2 year / 100,000 mile limited power train coverage for all qualified used vehicles. The dealership program includes dealer advertising and dealer marketing support.

Private Label Programs - EFG also markets several national private label initiatives including direct to consumer, credit union branded and financial institution branded VSCs.

We develop our own multiple-level coverage programs including reserve requirements, underwriting criteria and complete administration of all marketed brands. Administration includes form and collateral design, state filing and approval requirements, rate roll out, processing and billing of all monthly activities and claims adjudication. Monthly dealer activity is reported in detail at the account level, and collections and disbursement of funds are provided by EFG.

The standard MAP program also offers an awards program for F&I and dealership personnel to incent additional sales.

EFG's staff of claims adjusters has over 230 years combined automotive service department and claims experience and must also maintain their ASE certifications. EFG also provides field service representatives that are available to consult with your service department personnel. These reps will help ensure that the dealership's needs and concerns are addressed and claim procedures are thoroughly explained. All MAP claims are processed for payment through the use of a secure credit card payment ensuring a quick and easy turn around for the customer and repair facility.
